Pedro Dominguez

A painter's eye, behind the camera.

Every photograph is held to the same

standard of craft and taste as a finished work of art.

I'm Pedro, a Miami-based photographer with a painter's background.

I've been a visual artist since 2007 — a hyperrealist painter first, and still today. Photography came later, in 2010, as another way to capture the same obsession with detail and realism.

My goal with every session is to

push toward something genuinely creative, tailored to who you are.

That's why I always insist on a consultation first — it's how I find

the detail or story that shapes your specific concept.

Born in Havana, I've called

Miami home for the past years.

Since arriving, I've built experience across nearly every role behind the scenes — lead and second photographer, lighting assistant, and special effects technician. Much of what I know about commercial photography, I learned working alongside Ernesto Batista, and I still collaborate with him today on select projects throughout South Florida, alongside my own work in weddings, quinceañeras, maternity, newborn, e-commerce, and corporate photography.

01.

ORIGIN STORY

I was born in Havana, Cuba, and lived in Mexico City before settling in Miami.

02.

BEFORE THE CAMERA

I've been a visual artist since 2007. Painting came first —

photography followed years later, but that eye for detail never left.

03.

MY DIRECTION STYLE

I'd rather direct movement than freeze a pose. Some of my favorite shots happen mid-motion, not standing still.

CREATIVE EXPERIMENTS

Smoke, mirrors, light painting — if there's a way to make a session more visually interesting, I'll usually try it.
